Most Asian cultures had some form of a two-handed, curved, single-edged saber.
The changdao or miao dao (traditional Chinese: 長刀; simplified Chinese: 长刀; pinyin: chángdāo; lit. 'long sword') was the Chinese version, the Okatana, Odachi, or Nodachi, were Japenese forms, and the Ssangsudo was a Korean version from the Joseon Period.
Regardless of what you want to call it and where your art originates, this two-handed long saber can help you train your techinque.
