Jika-Tabi, or Tabi, are a traditional form of split-toe Japanese footwear. At Akado we find that Tabi make excellent fencing shoes as they are light, flexible, and have a slip resistant rubber sole that provides excellent grip on the floor for dynamic footwork. These Jika tabi are a basic cloth shoe with a great almost barefoot feeling. With 12 traditional clasps and 5 clasp threads you can fit them to the shape of your calf, The tabi also have a heel pad that increases comfort and reduces shock. Made of durable cotton and polyester and available in a navy color in sizes from: 24cm to 28.0cm in half centimeter measurements. We highly recommend you measure your foot by placing your heel against a wall and sizing accordingly and if you are close to a particular size, you should go up a size to allow for a little bit of room.
